Ali Rashid Al -Nuaimi meets Israeli officials and members of the Knesset in Jerusalem
Jerusalem, February 18 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al -Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, met His Excellency Ron Dermer, Minister of Strategic Affairs of the State of Israel, and in the presence of His Excellency Aryeh Deri, head of the Israeli Shas Party, as part of his work visit His Excellency to the State of Israel.
In a related context, His Excellency met at the headquarters of the Israeli Knesset a number of Knesset members that included Amir Ohna, the head of the Israeli Knesset, Edpstein, head of the Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee, Yair Lapid, head of the Israeli opposition, Benny Gantz, head of the official camp party, and Amaikhai Chicli, Minister of Immigration Affairs in The State of Israel.
During the meetings, a number of topics of common concern related to promoting the values of peace and consolidating the foundations of coexistence were discussed by building bridges of trust and mutual respect between peoples.
His Excellency also touched on the importance of setting the necessary legislation that enhances the values of coexistence and criminalizing hate speech and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations.
During the meetings, His Excellency reviewed the importance of launching initiatives that established the role of peoples in achieving peace, and the need to reduce the escalation and to facilitate the arrival of worshipers to the holy places to perform their religious rituals away from any politicization or exploitation of the holy places.
The meetings were attended by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khawja, the UAE ambassador to the State of Israel, and His Excellency Sarah Fenkaz, member of the Federal National Council and the accompanying delegation.
