A record number of Sharjah goalkeeper leads his team to qualify for a quarter -final "Asian heroes"

Sharjah, February 19/ WAM/ Adel Al -Hosani, the Sharjah goalkeeper, achieved a record for the first time in its history, which led the team to the quarter -finals of the AFC Champions League 2, for the second time in the history of the team.
This came after winning a penalty shootout at the expense of the Jordanian Al-Hussein Irbid team 3-0, yesterday, Tuesday, at the Sharjah Stadium, after the end of the original and additional time with a score of 1-0 for the Jordanian team, and 1-1 with the total of the home and second legs, as Sharjah won 1 -0 back.
Al -Hosani responded to 3 penalty shootouts, which led his team to the quarter -finals for the second time after his first qualification in the 2004 edition.
This is the first time in its history that Al -Hosani has confronted this number of penalties in one match.
Al -Hosani expressed his happiness with what he achieved and his contribution to the qualification of his team to the quarter -finals, pointing out that he did not expect the match scenario to be this result.
He added that the fortunes of the guard in penalty shootout are less than the chances of the player, but the focus, success and support of colleagues led him to address the penalty shootout.
According to the statistics of the UAE Professional Association, Ali Al -Hosani participated throughout the current season of the ADNOC Professional League, in 14 games with the team, he maintained a clean network in 10 games, and tackled 23 shots on his goal.
