In the year 850 AH – 1446 AD, Prince Manea bin Rabia Al -Muridi moved from the first armor in the east of the Arabian Peninsula to its middle, crossing the sands of Al -Dahna during his journey, wishing to establish a city country that achieves security and stability.
He settled on the banks of the Hanifa Valley, founding the second Diriyah in the localization of Gsaiba and Al -Khalid, which are located northwest of the city of Hajar.
Prince Munaa Gsaiba made his headquarters and his ruling, built a wall, and made Melbide the seat of agriculture.
The most prominent events of the Arabian Peninsula
And on the year of the arrival of Manea Al -Muridi, the historian Ibrahim bin Issa says: “In it, Manea Al -Muridi from the country of shields known as Daraa, from the aspects of Al -Qatif and his son Rabia, Ali Ibn Daraa, the head of the shields, the people of Wadi Hanifa, and among them was a continuation, because each of them is affiliated with Bani Hanifa, so Ibn Daraa Al -Mulailid and Wasika gave him, so he and his offspring.
This event is the most prominent events of the Arabian Peninsula in the medieval era. The coming of the Maraidi Meridi was the first building block in establishing the greatest country in the region in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, after the era of the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – and the adult caliphate.
Establishing the city of Diriyah
If we look at the Najd and the city of Diriyah in particular, which was founded by Prince Manea Al -Muridi in the year 850 AH – 1446 AD – the twelfth grandfather of King Abdul Aziz – we note that it is a medium -sized city in the concept of cities in those days, and it has an urban center consisting of a large percentage of the population, and self -sufficient Economically, it is at a commercial crossroads.
Being an agricultural area due to its occurrence on Wadi Hanifa, in which the farms whose production abounds are abundant, so they export it to other cities in the Najd region, such as Al -Ayainah, Harimila and others.
Manea Al -Muridi, his sons and grandchildren, after the rule of Diriyah, assumed the provision of protection, and the practice of trade and control of commercial roads to secure the reasons for living for its residents.
