He said that the investment bank intends to support the construction of a military base for the brigade through a partnership between the public and private sectors.

According to Sadius, the European Investment Bank will fund a large part of the project, which is estimated at 5 billion euros (1.6 billion dollars).
The German government agreed to deploy a ready -made and independent combat unit permanently in Lithuania, a member of NATO (NATO) and the European Union, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the brigade, which consists of 5,000 soldiers, will start by 2027.
The forces are scheduled to be stationed in new barracks and a training zone in Rhodenicai near the border with Belarus.
