Dubai Municipality launches the first Hakathon competition in conjunction with the month of innovation

Dubai Municipality launched, in conjunction with the “Innovation Month”, the first Hakathon competition, which aims to train more than 100 contestants from various groups such as employees, emerging entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, government and private partners and university students, with the aim of developing a leading innovation system and raising readiness for the future from During the treatment of challenges and the creation of many opportunities, the fields of municipal work, in order to enhance its vision of a pioneering municipality For a global city.

The first Hackathon competition organized by the Dubai Municipality between February 19 and February 2025 in Dubai Safari Park aims to enhance innovative culture and upgrade levels of awareness regarding the importance of innovation to solve urban problems, develop public services, as well as motivate the Dubai Municipality and the public to think of creative and collective work . It also aims to create cooperation opportunities between the Dubai Municipality, the academic authorities, technical companies, and civil society.

The competition includes vital areas run by Dubai Municipality, such as planning and governance, urban planning for cities, institutional support services, organizing and licensing buildings, public facilities, environment, health, safety, waste and sanitation.
