"Women’s Union" He expands his programs in Rams within the UAE villages project

Ras Al Khaimah, February 21/ WAM/ A delegation from the General Women’s Union visited the “Rams” region – affiliated to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, as part of his efforts to expand the field of implementing its development programs in all Emirates villages, in cooperation with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, aimed at achieving sustainable growth in the regions And villages in the state through an innovative methodology that supports the creation of mini -economies.
The delegation met a group of women of all ages to discuss aspirations and needs, in addition to reviewing the development programs provided by the Women’s Union to the villages of the Emirates, which include societal cohesion initiatives, capacity building, productive families, and sports. An exhibition for productive families was also organized, and an open day for women’s sport.
The Women’s Federation, under the generous directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, is keen to participate in all efforts and initiatives that contribute to consolidating sustainable development and achieving the quality of life in the UAE society This is reflected in cooperation with the Emirates Balanced Development Council, according to which 7 development programs are applied to the Women’s Union To include the scope of its services, all UAE villages.
His Excellency Noura Al -Suwaidi, General Secretary of the General Women’s Union, confirmed work according to the directives of the rational leadership that was allocated in 2025 to be the “year of society”, to enhance the ways of cooperation with all their strategic partners, to stand together in hand to establish values and activate the initiatives that are launched from society with all its members and institutions, It aims to achieve the impact that is reflected in all groups of society with its slices and components, pointing out that it is An opportunity that the Federation seizes to play an influential and active role in consolidating the concepts of cohesion, brotherhood, inclusiveness, flexibility and optimism in Emirati society.
She pointed to the union’s keenness to contribute to the state’s efforts to enhance the quality of life in all regions of the country, and to build a sustainable development model that provides economic and investment opportunities that achieve social stability for the residents of the Emirates villages.
For his part, Mohamed Khalifa Bakhit Al -Kaabi, Secretary -General of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, affirmed the council’s follow -up to the rational leadership’s approach to intensifying efforts during the “Year of Society” and his commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Women’s Union, in line with its strategic vision that puts young people at the core of its priorities, as they are the basis for achieving development Comprehensive and sustainable social.
He explained that this cooperation embodies the common goals through qualitative initiatives aimed at empowering young people, with a special focus on supporting the participation of girls and women in sports, and providing a supportive environment that enhances their presence and their contribution to the sports scene locally and internationally, as well as supporting women in the field of handicrafts, and encouraging Their innovations to ensure the sustainability of these traditional arts and enhance their contribution to economic and social development.
For her part, Eng. Ghalia Al -Mannai, Head of Strategic and Development Affairs in the Women’s Union, expressed their happiness to meet with a number of community members, especially women of different age groups in the “Rams” region, to discuss their needs and work to expand the deployment of programs and initiatives in the Emirates villages.
She explained that the cooperation between the Federation and the Emirates Balanced Development Council comes within the framework of their keenness to enhance the empowerment of women and consolidate their active role in the comprehensive development process that the state is witnessing in all sectors, and in a way that constitutes a continuation of its original role in consolidating the stability of family and society in the country, thanks to the support and encouragement of rational leadership.
Development programs in all UAE villages attach great importance to women, by providing all means of support for them and enabling them to launch their energies and raise their participation rate in various development paths, which are related to the following strategic initiatives, support for family cohesion, youth, and maker to support creative industries, and the opportunity to work .
These programs are translated through the Federation’s initiatives that will be expanded to include the next Emirates villages, the cyberspace for women and the family, a junior for productive families, sustainable safe houses, the economic empowerment program, and separate sporting activities in cooperation with the Emirates Women Sports Federation, Zina and Treasury – Collective Weddings, and various activities For children, which are in harmony with the Emirates Council strategy for balanced development 2022 2026.
It is noteworthy that the implementation of development programs was started in August 2024, with the cyber pulse and family initiative by forming teams of women’s cadres specialized in the digital sector and enhancing their participation in the cyberspace, while the productive families were added to “Emirates Villages” in a junior application Providing training courses for productive families.
Training workshops were provided to women that combine the theoretical and practical aspects in the field of entrepreneurship, through the economic empowerment program, in addition to organizing training workshops for the second version of the “Relating” program for young people, along with an open sports day to stimulate community sports in cooperation with the Emirates Women Sports Federation, in The “benefit” area.
