Dubai Roads organizes the exhibition “Towards the Future”

Dubai, February 21 / WAM / The Roads and Communications Authority in Dubai organized an exhibition “Toward the Future” in the main building of the authority, within the activities of the Emirates Innovation Month, “Emirates invent 2025”, confirming its commitment to adopting entrepreneurial ideas and achieving its vision in “global leadership in easy and sustainable movement .

The exhibition aims to highlight the latest smart and sustainable transport projects that the authority developed in cooperation with its partners from the government and private sectors.

Sheikha Al -Muhairi, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department in the Strategy and Institutional Governance Sector in the Authority said that the authority prepared an integrated program to celebrate the month of innovation, which includes a series of events that review innovative solutions in the transport and transportation sector, foremost of which is the exhibition (Towards the Future), which includes a number of smart projects that Dubai’s trends reflect a more sustainable and innovative future. She added that one of the most prominent projects included in the exhibition is the (Reel Bus) project, which is a sustainable solar energy transport system, designed to provide an economic and environmentally friendly alternative, interactive screens in taxis, which allows passengers visible and audible content during the trip, and the smart evaluation system for bicycle tracks Aerobic and electrical silence, which depends on artificial intelligence for analysis and improvement Sustainable mobility paths, in addition to the smart examination system for drivers, and the enlarged inspection systems of trains, which enhance the efficiency of examination and maintenance.

The exhibition is witnessing the participation of a number of startups specialized in the transportation and transportation sector, in addition to the Abu Dhabi Self -driving Coast, which reviews the latest technologies in the field of self -driving vehicles, while providing a practical experience for visitors to the exhibition on the capabilities of this technology.

Within the framework of support for entrepreneurship, during the exhibition, the Authority launches the “Growth Urgent Program”, which aims to attract startups and new talents in the transport and communications sector, in partnership with the International Institute of Innovation Management (GIMI).

The program aims to enhance the growth of startups through specialized follow -up from the sector experts, and to support them in expanding the markets, in line with the Dubai Economic Agency 2033, which focuses on innovation and sustainable development.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the authority will sign memoranda of understanding with the Fund Al -Watan, the University of Birmingham, and the Akacos Company for Computer Systems Design, to enhance cooperation in the areas of innovation and smart technology, as Mackenzie International will present a visual presentation on the tools of artificial intelligence used in work, and the importance of open data in promoting Innovation and integration between different sectors.

The event includes a workshop on research and development methods, and a youthful episode organized by the Authority’s Youth Council to discuss the future of urban movement, and the authority celebrates the graduation of 28 citizen employees within the fourth batch of the “Innovation accelerator program”, which is organized in cooperation with the International Institute for Innovation Management, with the aim of qualifying cadres National for the leadership of future innovation projects in the transportation and transportation sector.
