Get a license

The authority obligated all the parties that engage the above activities to obtain a license or a prior permit, according to Article (the second) and Article (the third) of the system.

In the event that all the requirements are not met, the Authority can issue a temporary license provided that the requirements are completed within a period determined by the authority from the date of issuing the temporary license.
The regulation has identified some cases that do not require a license, most notably water production by equipment or devices for self -use, and the production of water in quantities less than 100 cubic meters per day.

The authority made it possible to exempt some conditions and requirements of the license in some geographical ranges or for a temporary period, according to Article (67) of the executive regulations, based on several factors, including providing the service temporarily in light of the insufficient economic feasibility, and the lack of service providers due to reasons Investment or security or systemic, stimulating investment in water and sanitation services, supporting the transfer of knowledge and localizing advanced technologies.

The Ministry indicated that requests for licenses can be applied through the authority’s electronic services portal, according to the specific procedures, as the authority issues its decision within 15 days from the date of submitting the application, and in the event of not deciding on it, the application is considered rejected unless the authority issues a notice of its need for more time .
In the event that the license is approved, the committee is determined by the annual financial compensation of the license according to a set of factors, including the type of license and the geographical location, the duration of the license and the expected operational costs, and the risks and challenges related to licenses.
And I required the licensee to pay the annual financial compensation within 30 days from the date of its entitlement, knowing that this return does not include the other additional fees that the authority receives for the various procedures and services related to licenses.
