80% improvement in the level of educational institutions in Sharjah

The Sharjah Special Education Authority revealed that the level of performance in private schools in the emirate has increased by 80 %, while private educational institutions achieved the standards of the quality of the educational community’s life by 83 %, as part of the authority’s strategy outputs for the period from 2022-2024.

The head of the commission, the updated Dr. Al-Hashemi, confirmed during the celebration of the authority with the outputs of the second session of its strategy for the period between 2022-2024 Quality of educational services. Al -Hashemi also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support for education, stressing that this support reflects his firm belief in the importance of investing in man as the true wealth of the homeland and the source of its creative and productive energy.

The Authority reviewed the eight strategic indicators that it put in its second strategy, which is aimed at achieving it by the end of 2024, as the results reflected concrete progress in several fields, as the most prominent achievements were to achieve the standards of the quality of the educational community in private educational institutions at 83 %, in addition to an improvement in the level The performance of educational institutions according to the approved evaluation framework at 80%. The authority also recorded a success in the rehabilitation and training of educational cadres to keep pace with future requirements by 100%.

The Special Education Sector in Sharjah witnessed an increase in the volume of investments by 33 %, in addition to enhancing the confidence of the educational community in the services provided by 93 %, and more than 50 effective annual partnerships were concluded aimed at developing skills, and bringing the gap between basic and university education and the requirements of the labor market. In the context of the digital transformation, the authority achieved 100% success in providing digital services in a proactive manner, and also recorded a 37% improvement in the results of international tests, which reflects the development of the quality of education in the emirate according to international standards..

The agenda of the ceremony included highlighting the most important projects and achievements achieved by the authority and honoring projects with a great impact on the educational community, including the projects that students, students, teachers and parents benefited from, while the authority renewed the importance of performance indicators, and pledged to achieve more achievements in the course The third strategy contributes to the development of education in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Sharjah Special Education Authority strategy for the period 2022-2024 was designed in cooperation with an elite group of experts and educational and academic leaders, where 25 governmental and educational leaders participated in its preparation, and 11 educational experts from 12 governmental and private entities, in addition to 5 international institutions. The strategy also relied on more than 25 international reports on the development of modern educational patterns in light of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, with the aim of anticipating the future of education and filling the gap between its outputs and the requirements of the labor market.

The strategy included 24 qualitative initiatives, in addition to adopting 4 strategic components to enhance the efficiency of special education, namely: governance and sustainability, optimal employment of data, digital potentials, and consolidating the culture of continuous improvement, and the authority also identified 8 strategic indicators for performance with targeted implementation and growth rates until the end of 2024, To ensure the achievement of the desired goals in developing the special education in the Emirate of Sharjah.
