المملكة: King Faisal University won 6 medals at the International Inventions Exhibition in Kuwait

King Faisal University has achieved a new global achievement by winning six gold and silver medals in the fifteenth edition of the International Inventional Exhibition in the Middle East, which was organized by the Kuwaiti Scientific Club in the State of Kuwait during the period from 16 to 19 February 2025.
The exhibition witnessed a strong competition between more than 180 inventions from 42 countries, as the university was distinguished by winning four gold medals and two silver medals in the energy field, which reflects its leadership in providing innovative solutions that support its institutional research identity in the field of sustainability.

Excellence in scientific research and innovation

The President of King Faisal University, Professor Dr. Adel Abu Zenada, praised this achievement, which reflects the university’s distinction in scientific research and innovation, extending his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the University Affairs Council for his unlimited support for research and innovation in Saudi universities.
He also valued the efforts of inventors and researchers at the university, stressing that this excellence represents a new step towards strengthening the university’s role in finding sustainable solutions that support national development.

The field of sustainable energy

The university was distinguished by innovations that support energy and sustainability, as it provided an innovative technology to examine the batteries to extend its life by identifying the parts that need to be maintained or replaced, and solutions to convert food waste into electrical energy that supports environmental efforts.
It also developed a technique for converting oil waste into hydrogen fuel to support clean energy, and an innovation that converts palm waste into magnetic charcoal used in renewable energy applications.
In the field of vital energy, the university has provided a technique to convert chicken waste into vital gas to support sustainable energy production, as well as an innovation that turns wind power into an electricity capacity to enhance electricity generation from renewable sources.
It should be noted that all of these patents are registered with the American Patent Office, which enhances its credibility and scientific importance, and confirms the university’s commitment to developing sustainable innovations that keep pace with global transformations in the fields of energy and technology.
