“Voluntary withdrawal” .. A procedure to protect the consumer and ensure the quality and safety of food products circulating in the markets

The Food and Drug Authority shall supervise the withdrawal process, after receiving the communication from the facility regarding its intention to withdraw its products voluntarily and clarify the reasons for this while providing data on the quantities of the drawn product, the scope of distribution and the procedures followed, where the “Authority” continues the practical to ensure their implementation according to the approved standards that guarantee The markets are free of these products.
The “Authority” indicated that if the matter is required to publish an official warning, it will refer to the facility’s initiative to implement the withdrawal and take appropriate measures to withdraw the product from the markets, and the facilities can contact immediately with it via the unified number: (19999) and e -mail: (Alert.food@ SFDA.gov.sa).
