Derby without safety…a double blow for Real Madrid and Atletico

Football fans’ eyes are on the upcoming Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the Spanish League.
Real Madrid will host Atletico Madrid on Sunday in the 29th round of the Spanish League at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
The confrontation has an exceptional character this time, not only because of the competition for the title with Barcelona in first place, but also because of the poignant absence of the goalkeeping position in both teams.
Real Madrid will miss the services of its Belgian goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, while Atletico will be without its Slovenian goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, so the derby will be “unsafe.”
Courtois will miss Real Madrid for 6 weeks due to an injury that may keep him from participating with the Merengue until the end of the season.
Thus, Real Madrid will rely on Ukrainian substitute goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to compensate for the influential absence of Courtois.
While Oblak suffers from chronic neck problems, he is currently out of action, as he misses his club matches and the Slovenia national team in the two friendly matches against Hungary and Montenegro.
In Oblak’s absence, Argentine Juan Musso took over as the starting goalkeeper, including the recent Champions League match against Tottenham.
