Wi -Fi for free in 29 buses and maritime transport in Dubai

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority announced the provision of free internet (Wi -Fi) service, in cooperation with END (Etisalat), and was provided at 17 public bus stations, and 12 other maritime transportation stations, in an initiative aimed at making the pioneers of mass transport in the emirate, This is by providing them with an opportunity to connect to the Internet through their smartphones, tablets and laptops while they are moving.
“This initiative falls in the context of the authority’s continuous work on digital transformation in all its services provided to the public from various segments of society, in a way that harmonizes and the ambitious directions For the state in this field, as this initiative comes within the authority’s keenness to give more pleasure and benefit to the daily movement of the public on public buses And maritime transportation, translating the emirate’s vision to become the smartest and happiest city in the world.
Al -Awadi added: “(Wi -Fi) devices were installed in 29 buses and maritime transport stations, and work is underway to provide service to cover all bus and marine transport stations of 43, of which 21 buses, 22 maritime transport stations, and expected The completion of the rest of the stations in the second quarter of this year 2025 ».
Al -Awadi explained that the service will be subject to continuous evaluation, to expand it and develop it in cooperation with “ELD”, in order to ensure the provision of the finest Wi -Fi service to bus passengers and maritime transport in the Emirate of Dubai.
