A virtual meeting on “fashion as a cultural heritage” to explore the Saudi heritage

The Fashion Authority will organize an open virtual meeting entitled “Fashion as a cultural heritage: discovery of Saudi heritage”, on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 pm via the Weepx platform.
The meeting aims to shed light on the importance of fashion in preserving cultural identity and its role in reviving traditional crafts and promoting sustainability in the sector, in addition to discussing the intersection between major events and cultural identity and the importance of volunteering in supporting the fashion sector.
This meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the Fashion Authority to preserve the national heritage and enhance cultural awareness of the value of traditional fashion as an authentic part of the Saudi identity, with a focus on the sustainability of this heritage in light of contemporary developments.
The meeting also seeks to highlight how to combine traditional crafts into modern designs and find innovative ways to support designers and craftsmen and provide development opportunities for the sector.
The authority invites all interested designers, researchers and interested in heritage to participate in this meeting, which provides a platform for dialogue and interaction between specialists and the public, in an effort to enhance the deep understanding of the role of fashion in preserving the cultural identity and discussing the mechanisms of development in line with the afternoon.
