The Emirates Publishers Association participates in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026

Bologna, April 15 / WAM / The Emirates Publishers Association is participating in the activities of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026, which will be held from April 13 to 16 in the Italian city of Bologna, in a step that reflects its commitment to expanding the horizons of international cooperation for Emirati publishers and exploring qualitative opportunities for them in the field of children’s literature, and strengthening the country’s presence on the map of the global publishing industry.

The exhibition is the most prominent global event in the children’s and young adult’s book publishing sector, as it brings together an elite group of publishers, authors, illustrators, rights agents, translators and content experts from around the world, making it a major platform for exchanging copyrights and exploring the latest trends in this vital field.

The association’s participation comes as an extension of its efforts to enable Emirati publishers to access international markets and build strategic partnerships with their counterparts around the world, in addition to learning about the most prominent global experiences in the children’s book industry, which contributes to the development of creative content directed to emerging generations.

During its participation, the association highlights a group of specialized Emirati publishing houses, including “Your World Publishing and Distribution,” which provides innovative educational experiences for children that combine storytelling and play, and “Memo Quirks,” which stands out in the field of visual stories and artistic design, in addition to “Dar Ghaf Publishing,” which seeks to enhance the presence of books and consolidate the culture of reading through quality publications inspired by local identity.

His Excellency Rashid Al-Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, said that the association’s participation in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair comes within an integrated strategic vision that aims to advance the Emirati publishing industry and introduce the quality and diversity of local content, in addition to supporting the presence of the Emirati publisher on the global scene, by enhancing opportunities for cultural and knowledge exchange and building partnerships between members of the association and the most prominent publishing houses and institutions concerned with children’s literature around the world, which contributes to developing Arabic content and enhancing its competitiveness.

He added that the exhibition represents a strategic platform for exploring the future of the children’s book industry and interacting with the rapid transformations in this vital sector, enabling Emirati publishers to develop more innovative, competitive and sustainable models that contribute to building generations of readers connected to knowledge, which is at the heart of the association’s strategic priorities.

The active and continuous participation of the Emirates Publishers Association in such prestigious international cultural events embodies a solid approach in supporting the UAE publishing industry and enhancing its global presence, by building partnerships, exchanging experiences, and enabling publishers to expand the spread of Arabic content in international markets.
