Washington will impose 25% customs duties on European products

US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Washington will soon impose customs duties by 25% on European products, criticizing the European Union.

“We took the decision, and we will announce it soon, it will be 25%,” Trump said, that is, the same fees that will be imposed on Mexican and Canadian products as of the beginning of April. “Let’s be honest, the European Union has been established to harm the United States.”

On Wednesday, the US President refused to respond to a question whether China would allow Taiwan to control by force.

“I will never comment on it. I never want to put myself in this situation,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

On the other hand, Trump said that the United States will not provide Ukraine security guarantees in its agreement to end the war with Russia, but it is Europe that must provide these guarantees.
