Agreement between"ADNOC" and"Osaka gas" Japanese to supply LNG from the Ruwais project

Abu Dhabi, February 27/ WAM/ ADNOC announced today the signing of an agreement to sell and sell to supply a quantity of up to 0.8 million metric tons annually of gas, from the Ruwais LNG project low -emissions with the Japanese company “Osaka”, one of the largest public utilities companies in Japan.

The previous signed of the main items agreement turned into a binding agreement, according to this 15 -year agreement, which is the first long -term agreement to sell and buy liquefied natural gas to be signed between the two parties.

LNG will be provided mainly from the Ruwais LNG project, low -emissions of ADNOC, which is currently being developed in the industrial city of Ruwais in Abu Dhabi and is expected to start its commercial operations in 2028.

This is the fourth agreement to supply liquefied natural gas from the Ruwais project, and it represents a great progress in implementing the “ADNOC” strategy to expand in the field of LNG production at the international level, which establishes its position as an international pioneer of low -emotional natural gas.

So far, more than 8 million metric tons have been committed annually from the production capacity of the Ruwais LNG project of 9.6 metric tons annually to international customers in Asia and Europe under long -term agreements.

Rashid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Senior Vice President of Marketing at “ADNOC Gas”, said that the agreement that was signed today with “Osaka Gas’ company confirms the established and extended partnership relations in the field of energy with the company’s customers in Japan, and also supports the company’s strategy to expand its presence at the global level in the field of LNG production.

He added that the ‘ADNOC’ will continue through the Ruwais LNG project to provide more low -emissions gas to contribute to meeting the growing global demand for this vital resource, to provide homes and the industrial sector with fuel.

According to the agreement, LNG will be shipped to the Osaka Gas ports and its subsidiary company, Osak Gas, for the energy and trade supplies of Singapore, which is based in Singapore.

Kege Takimore, CEO of Osaka Gas, said that signing a long -term agreement to sell and sell LNG with ‘ADNOC’ will contribute to ensuring stable power supplies for our customers.

The Ruwais LNG project will be the first LNG export facility in the Middle East and North Africa operating with electricity produced from clean energy sources, which makes it one of the lowest LNG facilities in the world in terms of carbon emissions density, while the project will benefit from artificial intelligence tools and the latest technologies to enhance safety standards, reduce emissions and raise efficiency.
