المملكة: With global standards … an advanced operating system in the Grand Mosque in Ramadan

In light of the faith atmosphere in the Grand Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, efforts are integrated to provide an ideal environment that guarantees the comfort of worshipers and pilgrims through advanced operating systems that are managed according to the highest international standards.
These systems work around the clock to accommodate the growing numbers of Rahman guests, providing huge air conditioning, balanced lighting, and an accurate sound system, with continuous periodic maintenance to ensure efficiency and sustainability.

Giant cooling for a comfortable atmosphere

The Grand Mosque has one of the largest cooling systems in the world, with a total capacity of 155 thousand tons of cooling, operating through two main stations: Al -Shamiya station with a capacity of 120 thousand tons of cooling, and the Ajyad station with a capacity of 35 thousand tons of cooling.
These systems maintain internal temperatures ranging from 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, supported by a purification filters that remove 95% of impurities, to provide pure air that enhances the comfort of worshipers.

Comprehensive lighting and accurate maintenance

120,000 lighting units are distributed with great care to cover all the facilities of the Grand Mosque, including chapels, squares, and corridors, ensuring a clear vision and an appropriate atmosphere for worship.
Periodic maintenance operations are conducted that include equipment processing in advance, work sites securing, replacing damaged units, and disposal of replaced materials according to strict environmental standards, to maintain the efficiency of operation and safety of visitors.

An integrated audio system

The Grand Mosque is characterized by an advanced audio system that includes 8,000 headphones distributed in expansion and squares, run by 120 engineers and technicians around the clock, along with 100 microphone and 21 independent systems to control sound.
To ensure continuity, the system relies on backup technologies such as sensitive sound, reserve microphones, and follow -up cameras, with a direct link to radio and television broadcasting to transmit the call to prayer and prayers globally.
