18 players in the beach football team list before the start of the Asian Cup
Dubai, March 3/ WAM/ The UAE beach soccer team started today a preparatory camp in Thailand, which will continue until March 18, and precede participating in the Asian Cup Finals, hosted by Thailand from 20 to 30 March.
During the camp, the team is playing a number of experimental matches before the start of the tournament, as it competes in the third group alongside Iran, Afghanistan and Indonesia.
The first two teams from each group qualify to the quarter -finals, while the first three teams in the tournament included their seats in the World Ball World Cup “Seychelles 2025”.
The technical staff led by the Brazilian Victor Vasquez announced a list of 18 players for the camp, which will be reduced to 12 players before the tournament.
The list included Hamid Jamal, Muhammad Al Jasmi, Abdel Rahman Muhammad, Sultan Al Balushi, Walid Mohamed, Ali Muhammad, Walid Bishr, Ahmed Bishr, Muhammad Obaid, Rashid Obaid, Kamal Ali, Abbas Ali, Abdullah Abbas, Rashid Eid, Jassim Ahmed, Musab Omar, Othman Safar, and Ahmed Mohamed.
The team had started its preparations since last November, after winning the second place in the NEOM International Championship in Saudi Arabia, behind the Brazilian national team.
The preparation stages included confrontations with teams such as Senegal, Bahrain, Belarus and Saudi Arabia, in addition to an external camp in Bahrain.
On the other hand, the National Olympic Committee announced the participation of the UAE team in the third Gulf beach games, hosted by the Omani capital, Muscat, where beach football competitions will be held from April 7 to 11.
