Dubai, March 3 / WAM / His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, confirmed that the UAE continues its great interest in infrastructure and housing projects, noting that sustainability and innovation constitute two basic pillars in all development projects and stressed that the ministry is working to implement innovative housing projects that ensure the needs of citizens in a sustainable environment.
This came during the presidency of His Excellency the first periodic meeting of the year 2025 of the Emirates Council for Infrastructure and Housing, which discussed the most prominent developments related to infrastructure and housing projects and reviewed future directions and development projects that aim to develop a sustainable urban environment that enhances the well -being of society.
The meeting touched on the current challenges and opportunities to enhance the sustainability of infrastructure projects and the development of the housing sector in line with the UAE Vision 2031, which seeks to build an advanced and sustainable society.
The Council affirmed to continue to work to ensure that development projects in the country are at a global level, reflecting the aspirations of the rational leadership and the needs of citizens and residents.
The meeting – which was held at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Bureau in the Emirate of Dubai – was attended by a number of senior officials, among them the ministry’s agents, and representatives of local authorities from various emirates of the state and witnessed the review of developments in infrastructure, housing and transportation plans, and researching innovative solutions to achieve sustainability, such as updating the road network and enhancing public transportation and the importance of improving traffic flow as a national priority in the next stage, in addition to enhancing cooperation between federal authorities The local to ensure the implementation of projects according to the highest international standards.
Within the framework of the development of sustainable projects, the “unified guide for urban development” was reviewed that enhances the use of railways in passenger and shipping, which contributes to enhancing economic development and urban expansion, and facilitating the movement of movement between the regions of the state.
His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei stressed that the UAE focuses on enhancing the use of sustainable transportation systems to improve the efficiency of traffic, in a way that contributes to providing innovative and sustainable transport solutions for citizens, residents and visitors … indicating that the ministry puts the welfare of the citizen at the top of its priorities, and works to develop infrastructure and housing projects to meet the needs of society in a way that is in line with future aspirations.
At the end of its meeting, the Council recommended promoting sustainability in infrastructure and housing projects, accelerating the pace of implementation of national projects, and encouraging partnerships with the private sector, in addition to intensifying the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in managing and developing projects in a way that contributes to improving their performance and efficiency.
