المملكة: The Kingdom and Lebanon emphasize in a joint statement the importance of the full application of the Taif Agreement

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Lebanese Republic stressed the importance of strengthening Arab action and coordinating positions towards important issues on the regional and international arenas.
They also stressed the importance of the full implementation of the Taif Agreement, the application of relevant international decisions, the state extending its sovereignty over the entire Lebanese territories, restricting weapons in the hands of the Lebanese state, emphasizing the national role of the Lebanese army, the importance of its support, and the need for the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from all Lebanese lands.
This came in the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the visit of His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, to the Kingdom, the following is its text: With a generous invitation from His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and based on the historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Lebanese Republic, and to enhance the bilateral relations between them, His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, made an official visit on 3 Ramadan 1446 AH corresponding to March 3. 2025 AD.
His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, and His Highness conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his wishes for his Excellency is good health and wellness, and the Lebanese Republic and its brother The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the time of health and wellness, and for the brotherly Saudi people, growth and prosperity.

They held an official talks session, during which they reviewed the close bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them in all fields, and that Lebanon is an authentic member of the Arab system, and that its Arab relations are the guarantee of its security and stability.
The views were exchanged on all the current regional and international conditions, and the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening Arab action and coordinating positions towards important issues on the regional and international arenas.
The two sides agreed to start studying the obstacles facing the resumption of export from the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the necessary measures to allow Saudi citizens to travel to the Lebanese Republic.
The two sides stressed the importance of applying what was stated in the speech of the presidential department delivered by His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, after his election, and announced his vision of Lebanon and its stability, and the contents of the ministerial statement.
They also stressed the importance of the full implementation of the Taif Agreement, the application of relevant international decisions, the state extending its sovereignty over the entire Lebanese territories, restricting weapons in the hands of the Lebanese state, emphasizing the national role of the Lebanese army, the importance of its support, and the need for the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from all Lebanese lands.
The two sides agreed on the need for the Lebanese economy to recover and overcome its current crisis, and to start international reforms in accordance with the principles of transparency and the application of binding laws.
At the end of the visit, His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, thanked his thanks and appreciation to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for what his Excellency and the accompanying delegation received from the good reception and generosity of hospitality.
His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, expressed his best wishes for health and well -being to His Excellency President Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, and with more progress and advancement to the brotherly Lebanese people.
His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Joseph Aoun, invited His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to visit his second country, Lebanon. For his part, His Highness expressed his appreciation for this invitation and welcoming it.
