62.7% Asia share of multinationals attracted by the Dubai World Chamber in 2024
Dubai, March 4 / WAM / Dubai World Chamber, one of the three rooms under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber, revealed that 62.7% of the multinational companies attracted by the Chamber to Dubai during the year 2024 came from Asia, which embodies the growth of Dubai as a major investment destination for international companies.
The Chamber showed a diversity in the nationalities and markets of multinational companies that attracted it through the network of its external representative offices around the world, where Latin America acquired 11.8%of the total multinational companies attracted by the Dubai World Chamber during the past year, while Europe acquired the same percentage (11.8%), while the share of the Middle East and Eurasia region reached 9.7%. The African continent’s share was 2% of the total companies that were attracted, as well as Australia by 2%.
On the most prominent sectors in which these companies operate, 5 sectors acquired 50% of the multinational companies attracted by the Chamber last year, with a 10% stake for each sector, and these sectors included both the construction sector in addition to the trade and logistical services sector, as well as the manufacturing sector, as well as the information and communications technology sector, including artificial intelligence, robots and “blockchain”, in addition to the retail and fashion sector Tourism, travel and hospitality.
While 8% of the multinational companies attracted by the Dubai World Chamber were specialized during the year 2024 in the transportation, air transport, space, self -driving and traditional transportation sector, 3 sectors acquired 18% of the total multinational companies that participated in a group of sectors, each of which acquired 6% of the total companies, and includes the health care and medicine sector, the financing sector, banks and investment banking services, alongside Energy, oil, gas, renewable energy and clean technology.
Dubai World Chamber succeeded during the year 2024 by attracting 51 multinational companies, compared to 33 companies in 2023, with a growth of 55%.
