The Egyptian presidency reveals the details of the first meeting between Sisi and Sharia
The interim Syrian president, Ahmed Al -Shara, affirmed to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi his keenness to start a new page of relations with Arab countries, especially Egypt, during a meeting that brought them together on the sidelines of the emergency Arab summit in Cairo, yesterday.
For his part, the Egyptian President called for the launch of a comprehensive political process that includes all components of the Syrian people during his meeting.
The Egyptian presidential spokesman, Mohamed El -Shennawi, said that Sisi stressed in his meeting with the Sharia Egypt’s keenness to support the Syrian people “and taking into account his will and choices to achieve stability and development.” He added that Al -Sisi stressed during the meeting the importance of launching a comprehensive political process, “Do not exclude a party.” The spokesman pointed out that the Egyptian President stressed Egypt’s keenness on the unity and safety of the Syrian territories and “Egypt’s rejection of any infringement on Syrian territory.”
The Egyptian presidency stated that the Syrian president affirmed his keenness to “start a new page of brotherhood relations with the Arab countries, especially Egypt.”
