“Dubai Municipality” and “Community Development” are launched an initiative to ensure the safety of water systems

Dubai Municipality, in cooperation with the Community Development Authority, launched the “safe water for a healthy society” initiative, aimed at enhancing the safety of water systems in the homes and villas of senior citizens in 10 different regions in the Emirate of Dubai, in conjunction with the announcement of the year 2025 years of society in the UAE, which embodies the vision of the rational leadership towards building a coherent and prosperous society, and to consolidate the values ​​of cooperation, belonging and joint experiences.

The initiative reflects the Dubai Municipality’s keenness in its cooperation with the Community Development Authority to enhance the pre -emptive prevention of public health, protect community members from potential risks, in addition to building effective communication bridges with society, which contributes to improving the level of services, and consolidating the values ​​of societal partnership to achieve a safer, sustainable and quality of life.

The first phase of the initiative targets 42 homes and villas for senior citizens, in order to assess the safety of home water systems in it, and to ensure their conformity with the highest quality standards according to international best practices and specifications approved by Dubai Municipality.

Besides, the initiative includes the implementation of field visits for the purpose of the engineering and specialized technical evaluation of these systems with the withdrawal of water samples and their analysis in the Dubai Central Laboratory, in addition to taking corrective measures and quick and effective measures, in cooperation with some specialized institutions in treating water systems. Awareness workshops will also be implemented in Dubai councils, to spread awareness about the importance of water safety and quality and its impact on public health.

Providing a healthy and safe environment

“This initiative confirms the commitment of Dubai Municipality to ensure the provision of a healthy and safe environment for all members of society, and to reach advanced levels of protection and pre -emptive protection that enhances the quality of people’s lives and their well -being, and supports building a sustainable health system. We look forward to achieving the goals of this initiative, and spreading awareness about the importance of the importance Water quality to public health, and providing value -added information and guidance that contributes to enhancing the safety of individuals and society as a whole.

Naseem pointed out that the periodic tests of household water contribute to ensuring the quality and safety of water by ensuring that they are free of chemical and bacterial pollutants that affect the health of society, which reduces the risk of diseases resulting from pollution of water systems.

For his part, the director of the Senior Citizen Administration at the Community Development Authority, Muhannad Saeed said: “This initiative comes within the year of society 2025 and the efforts of the Community Development Authority to enhance the quality of the lives of senior citizens and ensure their safety in various aspects, as water safety in homes is a key factor in maintaining their health and daily comfort. Home water systems with the highest quality standards. Also, awareness of the role of periodic maintenance and ensuring the quality of the water contributes to promoting prevention and reducing healthy risks, which reflects positively on the lives of senior citizens and their well -being.

Dubai Municipality called on community members to adopt sustainable practices and follow the guidelines that maintain the safety and quality of water systems in homes, by clearing and cleaning tanks and all water systems every six months at least by companies accredited from Dubai Municipality, and commitment to conduct periodic maintenance of water systems to ensure their efficiency and prevent pollutants accumulation, and empty stagnant water to reduce the chances of bacteria growth and guarantee Safety and quality of water.
