Trump pledges to restore the Panama channel and include Greenland “in one way or another”

US President Donald Trump announced in a speech to Congress on Tuesday night that his country had begun “the restoration” of the Panama Channel, after the conclusion of a company from Hong Kong an initial agreement with an American consortium to sell two ports located on both sides of the channel.

“To further enhance our national security, the departments of the Panama Channel will recover, and we have already started doing this. We are restoring it,” Trump said in his first speech to Congress since he returned to the White House.

In a quick response, the President of Panama, Jose Raul Moulino, rejected the US President’s statements and pledged to restore the Panama channel. Mulino, Panama Channel, said to us and will remain so, and Trump added, “lying again” about the channel.

On the other hand, the US President affirmed his expansionary ambitions, especially since his country controls Greenland, which he intends to obtain in one way or another.

The US President went to the residents of the Danish region who is self -controlled by saying, “I also carry a message tonight to the wonderful people of Greenland. We support the strength of your right to self -determination, and if you wish, we welcome you in the United States of America.”

“We really need Greenland for international global security – and I think we will get it. One way or another, we will get it,” Trump said in his first speech to Congress since his return to the White House on January 20.

“We will ensure your security, and we will make you rich, together, we will take Greenland to horizons that you have not imagined before,” he said.

In response to Trump’s comments, Prime Minister Greenland MiTOT Igdah confirmed on Wednesday, “We do not want to be neither Americans nor Danish.”

“The Americans and their president should realize this. We are not for sale and it is not possible to simply seize us,” wrote McTiete Igdah on Facebook six days before a local legislative election.

In his speech, the US President announced that “America has returned” and the American dream “cannot be stopped”, in his first speech to Congress.

“The American dream is growing – greater and better than ever. The American dream cannot be stopped, and our country is about to achieve a return that the world has never seen before, and perhaps it will not see it again.”

Trump’s speech lasted an hour and 40 minutes, making it the longest speech ever delivered by an American president in front of Congress.

As soon as Trump began to deliver his speech, a number of Democratic parliamentarians had fired shouts to boycott him, while others raised banners condemning his policies.

When the booing shouts continued, Parliament Speaker Mike Johnson threatened to remove her divorcees from the hall if they did not stop her, so the veteran deputy from Texas Al -Green refused to respond and stood up with his stick and shouted to the Republican billionaire.

In a move rarely in Capitol, Congress employees accompanied the black legislator out of the hall in front of Trump’s the eyes of Trump.
