Cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah and"Trip.com" To enhance Chinese tourism

Berlin, March 5 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Authority for Tourism Development signed a memorandum of understanding, with the “Trip.com” group, the world’s leading travel services company, aimed at launching new initiatives that enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s attractiveness as a distinguished tourist destination for Chinese travelers.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Amanda Wang, Vice -President of the “Trip.com” group, and Iyad Rasbieh, Vice President to develop destination tourism in the Ras Al Khaimah Authority for Tourism Development, reinforce on the sidelines of participation in the Berlin International Tourism Exhibition 2025, the successful partnership between the two parties and paves the way to launch effective initiatives aimed at facilitating travel procedures to the emirate, which is one of the fastest growing markets in the tourism and international travel sector.
The partnership aims to launch innovative marketing campaigns targeting Chinese travelers by involving them in all stages of their journey to Ras Al Khaimah, starting with highlighting the emirate for their choice as a travel destination, through planning and reservation, and leading to the unique experiences on the ground.
These efforts are based on the advanced digital system of the “Trip.com” group, which allows the benefit of advanced data analyzes and its vast customer base to enhance the attractiveness of Ras Al Khaimah as a favorite tourist destination, and the method of recounting integrated stories, advertising campaigns and exclusive travel offers, with the aim of highlighting the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as an ideal destination for Chinese visitors looking for an authentic Arab atmosphere.
The emirate is characterized by its charming nature, as the scenic views are mixed with the ancient cultural heritage and the generous Arab hospitality, which makes it a unique destination in the Middle East region to be distinguished by providing unparalleled experiences that combine adventure, relaxation and indulgence in Arab culture.
Since the launch of the partnership between the Ras Al Khaimah Authority for Tourism Development and the “Trip.com” group in June 2024, Ras Al Khaimah’s e -pages have won more than 17.5 million views, which reflects the increasing interest in the emirate as a favorite tourist destination.
This fruitful cooperation contributed to stimulating the hospitality sector significantly, as hotel reservations witnessed 22% during the second half of 2024, thanks to the designated promotional offers and effective marketing campaigns that targeted the Chinese market.
It is worth noting that the “Trip.com” group has awarded the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, the “Distinguished Strategic Partner” awards and “Best External Partner for the year 2024”, during the summit of the global partners held by the group in December 2024, in appreciation of the prominent success of the partnership between them.
Iyad Rasbieh, Vice President for the Development of Tourism in the Ras Al Khaimah Authority for Tourism Development, said that China is one of the fastest markets for tourists, and the expansion of partnership with the “Trip.com” group is a strategic step in the constant endeavor to explore new growth opportunities, pointing to the authority’s endeavor to promote the emirate and reach a broader group of travelers while highlighting its rich heritage and traditions The authentic Arab hospitality that distinguishes it, relying on its marketing experience, and its deep understanding of the market trends and digital capabilities.

In the framework of the next stage of this cooperation, the partners are preparing to launch the “RAS Al Khaimah Star Hub” online store on the CTRIP platform, the leading platform for booking travel and tourist trips for Chinese travelers provided by the “Trip.com” group.
This store will provide a virtual space dedicated to enhancing the demand for travel to Ras Al Khaimah by presenting distinctive promotional offers and displaying coordinated flight programs specifically designed for Chinese visitors.
The authority is working to improve the experience of traveling to Chinese tourists by providing translation services and facilitating digital payment solutions, which guarantees a more comfortable and smooth journey for visitors from China.
The authority recorded its best performance in 2024, where it received 1.28 million visitors, achieving 12% growth in tourism revenues and a noticeable increase of up to 15% in meeting tourism, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.
This success reflects the strategic and sustainable vision of the emirate to attract more than 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030.
