“Islamic Development” receives the “Development Finance Corporation” award in Türkiye

The Islamic Development Bank received the “Foundation for Development Finance for the year 2025”, in the ninth Istanbul Week for the public and private partnerships, which was recently held in Türkiye under the slogan “Public and Private Partnership: More with Less”.
Honoring in appreciation of his accomplishments and active participation in the public and private partnership market.

The director of the regional center for a group of development in Turkey, Walid Abdel -Wahab, explained after receiving the award on behalf of the Islamic Development Bank, that the bank plays a unique and developed role in financing sustainable infrastructure, by harmonizing its investment strategy with the principles of Islamic law, environmental sustainability and social and economic development in member states.
He continued: The Islamic Development Bank exceeded its goal in climate financing by allocating more than 40% of its financing in 2024 for climate investment in accordance with the internationally agreed definition of climate financing.
