“Dubai Roads” creates a “integration permit” service to enhance integration between the luxury vehicle sectors and car rental

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has created a “integration permit” service, a new initiative aimed at achieving integration between the commercial transport sectors in the emirate, with a focus on enhancing harmony between the luxury vehicle sectors and car rental.

This initiative comes within the framework of the authority’s keenness to enhance the environment and competitiveness of business, and make it more flexible and efficient, in line with the modern trends in the sustainable transport sector, and in line with the distinguished services provided by Dubai, which meets the aspirations and needs of its residents, visitors and tourists, and enhances the quality of life and the upscale lifestyle in the emirate.

In detail, the director of the Trade Transport Systems Department at the Licensing Corporation in the Roads and Transport Authority, Jamal Al -Sada said: “This service aims to enhance the integration between the activity of passenger transport with luxury vehicles and the car rental activity in the Emirate of Dubai, where the permit provides the possibility of providing mutual demand between luxury transport companies and car rental companies in a way that allows the borrowing of luxury vehicles and achieving mutual benefit between the authority and the business sector and allowing the final beneficiary (customer: individual, individual A tourist or resident) by renting the luxurious vehicle with a driver by obtaining a permit for a month according to the controls and requirements stipulated.

The masters added: “The companies benefiting from this service must adhere to the conditions and the provisions for the operation and rental of light vehicles and the conditions for operating luxury vehicles to transport passengers in the emirate, such as the inclusion of rental contracts, the registration of luxury transport companies, and the inclusion of drivers in the electronic system for renting transport activities (TARS).

The gentlemen stressed that (integration permit) aims to set an integrated and flexible regulatory framework to enhance the vehicle rental sector of all kinds, as the legislation and the development of systems were updated to include all the activities of the vehicle rental, which follow the authority, as well as organizing the relationship between vehicle rental companies and tenants.

As for the eligibility of companies authorized to use the permit, there must be a joint member of the members of the commercial license for the two parties (a car rental company – a luxury transport company).
