المملكة: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation supports the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza
The meeting started its work with the word of the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, which chaired the Council of Foreign Ministers of Jane Mbela, in which he said: “The meeting is held in light of new developments in the Palestinian -Israeli conflict, including calls for the displacement of the Palestinians, stressing that this situation requires a pause for evaluation and aspiration to the future, while preserving the position of our joint organization on this important issue in accordance with its charter and relevant United Nations resolutions.”
Israeli aggression
He stressed the importance of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which was reached last January, pointing out that the agreement contributes to improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and also reduces the severe tensions in the Middle East.
The Cameroonian Foreign Minister urged the full implementation of the agreement in order to reach a final solution to the conflict, in the context of a concerted and multilateral approach, indicating that this approach cannot be applicable and related except within the framework of the two -state solution, where Israel and Palestine live alongside within internationally recognized borders; What guarantees a comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
United Nations decisions
He called on member states to express their usual solidarity with the Palestinian people by providing them with the necessary humanitarian assistance, and continuing to work to reach a peaceful settlement of this long -term conflict, in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and regional peace initiatives.
After that, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Republic of Gambia, the current President of the Islamic Summit Mamadou Tanjara, delivered a speech during which he confirmed that his country renewed its call to the international community to stand together towards stopping the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, which caused the death and injury of more than 180 thousand people, most of them innocent women and children.

The displacement of the Palestinians
He stressed Gambia’s condemnation of the recently proposed plans to displace the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, stressing that these suggestions are provocative, brutal and inhuman, especially at a time when the residents of Gaza, the Palestinians and the international community are considering the positive steps to end the Palestinian -Israeli conflict in the wake of the recently reached fire ceasefire.
He said: “Now is the time for the international community to make more concerted efforts to establish a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire that would lead to the complete withdrawal of Israel from the occupied Palestinian territories, reaffirming that the two -state solution is a prerequisite for stability and peace in the Middle East.”
United Nations Charter
A merchant expressed its deep concern over the Israeli parliament, “The Knesset”, recently laws prohibiting the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA”, which is completely inconsistent with the United Nations Charter and International Law.
The Secretary -General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, affirmed the support of the reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip, which was adopted by the Arab summit while adhering to the Palestinian people to stay on their land, because of its common and realistic vision that requires everyone to mobilize the financial and political support needed to implement it, within the framework of an integrated political and economic path to achieve the vision of a two -state solution, warning of the seriousness of Israeli procedures and attempts to liquidate the refugee issue Palestinians.
The Palestinian issue
The Secretary -General stressed that UNRWA and its vital role or replace it in the service of millions of Palestinian refugees cannot be dispensed with, while emphasizing the necessity of redoubling the agency’s political, financial and legal support.
He said: “The meeting is healing, which is burdened with the challenges taking place in the Palestinian issue as a result of the continuation of Israel – the occupation force – in its occupation, settlement, daily crimes, the plans of the annexation and the forced displacement of the Palestinian people from its land, and the change of geographical and demographic monuments in the occupied Palestinian territory and its attempts to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and violate the sanctity of its sanctities, in addition to the blockade, starvation, arrest and storming of cities Palestinian camps and destroy their infrastructure and homes in them.
Humanitarian aid
The Secretary -General called for more concerted efforts in order to achieve a sustainable ceasefire, the full withdrawal of the occupation forces, the delivery of humanitarian aid, the help of the displaced to return to their homes, enable the Palestinian government to take over its duties and preserve the unity of the Palestinian land in a way that includes the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, implementing emergency relief programs, economic resuscitation, reconstruction, and providing international protection for the Palestinians.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Palestinian Expatriates, Mohamed Mustafa, called for the adoption of the Palestinian-Egyptian plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, as a joint Arab-Islamic plan, which included the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip with Palestinian hands, fixed on the land without its displacement, and with regional and international support, on the path of embodying the state of Palestine and building its institutions and economics.
The return of the displaced
Mustafa stressed that the success of the plan depends mainly to compel Israel to stop the aggression, ensure the return of the displaced, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, the opening of the crossings, the sustainability of the ceasefire, the entry of building materials and equipment, and the provision of the necessary financial support.
He called on the Prime Minister to intensify efforts to mobilize international support, and to escalate political, diplomatic, legal and economic pressure on the occupation, so that the Palestinian people obtain their entire legitimate rights, not incomplete, crowning the freedom of our people, their sovereignty on their land, and his eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
He stressed that the unity of the Islamic position, and the collective commitment to Palestine is the path and the active tool in the face of Israeli arrogance, and the achievement of peace and stability in the region.
It is noteworthy that the meeting witnessed a number of words for the foreign ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization, as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the return of Syria, after the decision of foreign ministers to resume its membership in the organization.
