المملكة: Mercury decorates the sky of the Arab world tonight

Today, the sky of the Arab world is witnessing the arrival of the planet of Mercury to its eastern great reach at an angle of 18 degrees of the sun, and the evenings will be within about a week of this night, as it is seen with the naked eye towards the western horizon.
The President of the Astronomical Society in Jeddah, Eng. Majid Abu Zahra, stated that Mercury will begin to appear as the sky moves towards darkness and the planet will remain above the horizon for about one hour and 14 minutes.
He pointed out that the orbit of Mercury is internal for the Earth and is close enough to the sun so that it never moves away from it, as it shines or sets near the sun to the point that it is impossible to see it except for the times near the maximum elongation.
And that the maximum angle of elongation for Mercury ranges between 18 degrees and 28 degrees east or west of the sun, and the reason for this difference is that the orbit of Mercury around the sun is not completely circular.
