His Excellency explained in a special statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the humanitarian approach established by Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, made charitable and humanitarian work an integral pillar of the state’s development process, as the state’s vision, since its founding, was based on the belief in the importance of community solidarity and extending a helping hand to the most needy groups, which reflects a system of values ​​rooted in Emirati society based on giving and shared responsibility towards humanity.

He pointed out that the UAE has continued to build on this humanitarian legacy through sustainable development initiatives and projects, based on a leadership vision that believes that charitable work must go beyond the concept of immediate support to become a long-term development stream that contributes to achieving social stability and enhancing the quality of life for various segments of society.

He explained that the “Mother of the Emirates Endowment for Orphans” campaign comes in this context to embody this vision, as it was launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” with the aim of establishing a sustainable endowment funding source for the care of orphans in the UAE, in a way that guarantees them a more stable future and improves their quality of life, and at the same time strengthens the social solidarity system that characterizes Emirati society.

He added that launching the campaign is in line with national trends aimed at enhancing family stability and consolidating the concept of shared social responsibility, especially in light of the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of the Family,” which highlights the importance of supporting the family as the basic pillar in building a cohesive and stable society.

His Excellency stated that the initiative also reflects the keenness of the concerned authorities to align their programs and initiatives with the visions of the wise leadership, which places people at the heart of its development priorities, and seeks to develop innovative models of charitable work based on sustainability and maximizing social impact.

He explained that the campaign seeks to achieve a set of main goals, foremost of which is providing a sustainable endowment funding source for orphan care in the UAE, ensuring continued support for them in various aspects of their lives, in addition to strengthening the culture of endowment and reviving its role as a development tool capable of transforming community giving into sustainable assets that return long-term returns that serve the community.

He pointed out that the endowment represents one of the advanced civilized models of charitable work, as it is based on investing assets and developing their returns in a way that ensures continuity of support for the beneficiary groups. He explained that the contributions made within the “Umm Al Emarat Endowment for Orphans” campaign are managed according to an approved institutional endowment model that ensures the preservation of the endowment’s origin and the development of its returns in a sustainable manner.

He added that these proceeds are directed to support orphans in basic areas including education, health care, and the requirements for a decent life, which contributes to providing a stable environment that provides them with opportunities for growth, learning, and positive integration into society.

He stressed that this endowment model contributes to creating a qualitative shift in the concept of charitable work, from temporary contributions to a sustainable system that enhances the humanitarian impact across generations, noting that the initiative also aims to enhance community awareness of the importance of endowment as one of the effective tools in achieving sustainable social development.
