المملكة: With 723 million dollars .. The Kingdom implements 1.072 projects to empower women in 79 countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, has paid great attention to women in the countries most in need around the world.
Through its human arm, the Kingdom worked to implement 1.072 projects dedicated to women in 79 countries with a value of more than 723 million and 989 thousand US dollars in the most needy countries aimed at providing assistance to women and enabling them to be economically because they are the basic nucleus in forming societies, preparing future generations and building tomorrow.
The center’s projects in this aspect included providing assistance to Yemeni women and empowering them economically, and building their capabilities by providing training programs in the professional and commercial field, and providing them with the necessary tools that help them find income -generating opportunities in a way that contributes to improving the livelihoods of the beneficiaries and their families.

Protection services for women

The center was keen to provide protection services to women and girls affected by gender -based violence by enhancing the capabilities of governmental and non -governmental institutions to manage gender -based violence.
It also worked to increase understanding and awareness of the rights of women and girls through media campaigns, awareness and education, and to provide psychological and social support and legal advice for them, and to find housing places for some survivors of social violence.
To contribute to alleviating the suffering of patients with limited income, the center has implemented voluntary medical projects to perform surgeries in the specialization of women and childbirth in several countries such as Yemen, El Salvador, Mauritania, Gambia and Cameroon.

The center implemented other projects to treat acute malnutrition for children and pregnant and lactating women, including the provision of treatment and health care for them in some needy countries.
It is noteworthy that the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works has implemented 3,361 projects in various vital sectors that included 106 countries around the world with a value of more than $ 7 billion, which benefited millions of the most vulnerable and needy groups in the targeted countries without discrimination.
On this day, the King Salman Relief Center celebrates International Women’s Day, corresponding to March 8 of each year, in appreciation of the contributions of women in building society and their role as a major partner in the process of sustainable development.
