المملكة: The Red Crescent in Medina begins 4009 reports in Ramadan

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah region revealed statistics of the ambulance services that it provided during the first quarter of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH, where the operating rooms received 13475 emergency calls, which resulted in 4009 reports that the ambulance teams have shown.
Medical care was provided on the site to 2246 patients, while 1213 cases were transferred to various medical facilities after providing them with first aid.

The Director General of the Authority’s branch in Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah region, Ahmed bin Ali Al -Zahrani, explained that the reports received by the authority varied between satisfactory cases, which were the highest request for ambulance service, followed by cases of absence from consciousness, then traffic accidents.
He stressed that the emergency teams dealt with these cases with high efficiency through specialized human cadres and mechanisms equipped with the latest medical equipment needed to provide an integrated emergency service.

Al -Zahrani pointed out that the emergency services during this period witnessed the participation of 2088 volunteers and volunteers, who worked to provide ambulance support in the Prophet’s Mosque and the Quba Mosque, where their total volunteer hours reached 12291 hours, which reflects the authority’s commitment to promote volunteer work in the health sector.
Al -Zahrani stressed the importance of awareness of citizens and residents of the methods of seeking ambulance services, noting that the authority receives requests through the number 997, or through the application of “Asfni”, which allows users to submit emergency reports and summon the emergency teams quickly and effectively.
