37.12 %of “Dubai Electricity” employees occupy administrative positions

The Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, launched the annual cultural competition for the employees of the authority, organized by the committee for the fifth year in a row, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, during his meeting with the members of the Women’s Committee in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.

Al -Tayer said: “The total number of female employees in the authority is 1939 employees, including 579 employees in administrative positions and positions at the level of the middle administration, in addition to many female employees in leadership positions. The percentage of female employees who occupy administrative positions in the authority is 37.12%, which is one of the highest percentages in the world, and Emirati female employees assume the majority of these positions.

The competition is in line this year with the global tag (#speeding up work), which focuses on the need to enhance efforts to achieve gender equality, accelerate progress in various sectors, raise awareness of the role of women in sustainable development, and highlight their achievements at the local and global levels.

Al -Tayer indicated during the meeting that the Emirati model in empowering women is respectful and appreciated by the entire world, and constitutes an inspiring model in encouraging everyone to contain the process of sustainable development. He congratulated the employees of the Authority on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, indicating that their disturbance and their tireless work made them sets inspiration for women in general, and women working in particular.

Al -Tayer added: “The fundamental contribution of women in the march of prosperity and progress comes as a natural result of the pioneering approach adopted by the late father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and is supported by the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (Mother of the Emirates). The pioneering achievements achieved by the UAE contributed to innovation and digital transformation, and the adoption of the most recent replacement technologies in enhancing the positive role of women in all fields, especially in advancing climate work, biological diversity and nature preservation, and accelerating the construction of clean and renewable energy ».
