المملكة: “Human Rights” calls for the solidarity of society and the family to protect the child’s right to education

The Saudi Human Rights Commission called on the concerned authorities, society and the family, to protect children from any practices that may deprive them of their primary right to learn.
She warned that the child’s interruption from education is one of the forms of abuse and neglect, according to what was stipulated in the child protection system and his executive regulations, which aims to ensure the right of every child to education and protect him from any neglect that affects his educational career.

Legal accountability

Human rights indicated that Paragraph 4 of Article 3 of the system confirms that depriving the child of education or causing his interruption is a violation of his rights, which requires legal accountability and take the necessary measures to ensure his continuity in education.

The authority also called for the necessity of joining the concerned authorities, society and the family to protect children from any practices that may deprive them of their primary right to learn.
She stressed that education is the cornerstone of the child’s future and its development, which is an inherent right that must be guaranteed to every child without exception.
