"Dubai Electricity" Looking to enhance cooperation with the American Electricity Research Institute
Dubai, March 10/ WAM/ The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the American Electricity Research Institute discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of training in renewable energy fields, modernization of networks, energy storage solutions, etc., within the framework of enhancing strategic cooperation in the fields of research and development, sustainability, and innovation in the energy sector.
According to a press release issued today, this came during the reception of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, a high -level delegation from the Electrical Energy Research Institute, the American Corporation in the field of research and development in the energy sector, headed by Arshad Mansour, President and CEO of the Institute.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President of the Business and Excellence Development Sector, and Eng. Ghanem Al -Qasim, Senior Director – Solar Energy in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer stressed the authority’s keenness to cooperate with the leading research and innovation centers in the world to refine national competencies, and to give them skills and experiences that qualify them to lead the future and take over a leadership role in climate work and accelerate the transition of energy and digital transformation, within the vision of the integrated body to enhance sustainability and align global goals, as it contributes to building a more sustainable future dependent on advanced and environmentally friendly solutions to achieve The Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai to provide 100% of the total production capacity in Dubai from clean energy sources by 2050.
The areas of cooperation between the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the Electrical Energy Research Institute include specialized programs and training courses in various fields that include the smart network, energy efficiency, distribution asset management analyzes, cybersecurity, sustainability in the electrical energy sector, data analysis, renewable energy systems, integration of photovoltaic systems, and various aspects that play a fundamental role in enabling the staff of the authority to contribute active in anticipation He made the sustainable future, providing the opportunity for researchers and engineers to exchange technical expertise and enhance their knowledge of the latest developments in this field.
