المملكة: The Kingdom condemns Israeli violations and methods of collective punishment in Gaza
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the condemnation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the strongest terms to practice the Israeli occupation authorities of the methods of collective punishment for the Fustinians in the Gaza Strip, by cutting electricity from the Strip, rejecting its categorical rejection of Israeli violations of international humanitarian law.”
The statement added: “The Kingdom stresses its demand for the international community to take urgent measures to return electricity and flow of aid to the Gaza Strip immediately without condition or registration, and renews its call to activate international accounting mechanisms on these serious violations.”
A crime of war and collective punishment
The Arab Parliament described the decision of the Israeli occupation to cut off electricity from the Gaza Strip, describing it as a war crime and collective punishment that increases the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Muhammad Ahmad al -Yamahi, condemned the decision, warning of the repercussions of this escalation.
Al -Yamahi affirmed in a statement yesterday, Monday, the Arab Parliament’s categorical rejection of this irresponsible measure, which represents a violation of all international laws and norms and the ceasefire agreement.
The exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis
He described the decision as a war crime and collective punishment that increases the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, calling on the international community and international and human rights organizations to move urgently to pressure the occupation entity to restore basic services to the residents of the Gaza Strip and re -introduce aid, warning against the catastrophic repercussions of this decision on innocent civilians, especially children, patients and the elderly.
