The success of the process of stabilizing the spine and pelvis with robot technology at King Fahd University Hospital in Al -Khobar

In a move that reflects the medical development in King Fahd University Hospital in Al -Khobar, affiliated with Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, a specialized medical team managed to make a precise operation to install the spine and the basin using robot technology, for a patient who had a traffic accident that led to complex injuries in the back and pelvis. Suleiman Al -Shammari – Orthopedic Consultant and Dr. Sultan Al -Salmi – Consultant Neurosurgery, and the medical team evaluated the patient’s condition accurately, as the tests showed that he was broken in the spine and pelvis, which necessitated urgent surgical intervention using the latest medical techniques approved globally.

The operation was carried out with surgical robot technology, which is an advanced technique that helps in performing spine and bones with the highest accuracy, which reduces the incidence of errors and surgical complications, and contributes to reducing blood loss during the operation, and accelerating the hospitalization period compared to traditional surgeries.

After the success of the operation, the patient underwent accurate medical follow -up, as the doctors confirmed that his condition is stable, and is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program to help him regain his motor functions gradually, noting that the expectations of recovery are positive thanks to the use of modern technology in surgery.
