The Ministry of Culture announces the program of the National Month Activities for Reading 2025
Dubai, March 12 / WAM / The Ministry of Culture announced the program of cultural and cognitive activities organized by state institutions on the occasion of the National Reading Month 2025 during the month of March, which is one of the most prominent cultural initiatives that reflect the UAE’s vision and rational leadership to enhance the culture of science and knowledge, and to provide the infrastructure and the optimal environment to build an advanced knowledge society.
This came during a press conference held in the Al -Safa Library for Arts and Design in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Mubarak Al -Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Shatha Al -Mulla, Assistant Undersecretary for the National Identity and Arts Sector, and His Excellency Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, Executive Director of the Arts and Literature Sector in Dubai for Culture, and Dr. Amal Al -Qahtani, Director of the School Support and Development Department of the Ministry of Education, and Khawla Al -Majaini, General Coordinator of the Sharjah International Exhibition For the book, Asma Al -Mutawa, President and Foundation for the Salon of the Literary Forum and Sheikha Al -Mutairi, Secretary General of the Emirates Writers and Writers Union.
The Events Program includes a variety of cultural and cognitive activities held by the ministries, local authorities and public benefit societies during this month to consolidate the habit of reading among members of society, and raising awareness of its importance is an essential element in achieving sustainable development and advancing the level of cultural awareness in the state.
His Excellency Mubarak Al -Nakhi said that the national reading month embodies the long -term vision of the UAE in building a reader -armed and culture reader to achieve sustainable development and reflects the state’s commitment to strengthening culture between members of society and comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Culture to enhance the position of reading. Globally for innovation and culture, especially since reading is an essential pillar to achieve this goal.
Al -Nakhi added that the national reading month is a prominent cognitive and cultural station and a large -scale strategic initiative that is concerned with enhancing awareness of the importance of reading in developing the per capita perceptions and enhancing the development and progress of society, by encouraging reading among all age groups, the UAE proceeds to enable a conscious and informed generation and is able to face future challenges and contribute to building a sustainable knowledge economy.
The National Reading month witnesses 2025 wide range of activities and events held in the cultural and creative centers of the Ministry of Culture along the emirates of the state. The activities include the launch of multiple initiatives by local cultural authorities and institutions to instill the habit of reading among all members of society.
