Welcome to a joint statement of Ukraine and the United States after their meeting in the Kingdom

The European Union welcomed the joint statement issued by Ukraine and the United States after their meeting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including proposals for the ceasefire agreement, humanitarian efforts, and the resumption of exchanging intelligence and security assistance by the United States.
“All European Union member states are ready to play their full role in supporting the upcoming steps, in cooperation with Ukraine, the United States and other partners.”
The statement added: “The European Union aims to support Ukraine in its endeavor to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace, based on the principles of the United Nations Charter and International Law, and the suggestion of the ceasefire can be represented, if accepted by Russia, an important step in this direction.”
