"Abu Dhabi Development" It launches a project "Sofitel Lignd Pyramids Giza"

Abu Dhabi, March 13 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Development Fund launched the work of the “Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza” project in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of its efforts to support and revitalize the tourism sector in Egypt and enhance joint strategic investments.

The cost of the project is 440 million dirhams, equivalent to “120 million dollars”, and the hotel includes a five -star category 302 luxury rooms equipped with the latest services, along with a group of international restaurants and entertainment facilities, which makes it a distinct destination for luxury residence.

The financing of the project comes in a strategic partnership between the UAE national sector and the Egyptian private sector, where the Abu Dhabi Development Fund contributes 84.28% of the project’s capital through the Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company, while the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company owns 10.22% and the ACE is 0.4%, and Egypt Hotel Company 2.73% and the Egyptian Tourism Company and Hotels 2.37%.

The foundation stone for the project was laid by His Excellency Mohamed Saif Al -Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, and Engineer Adel Al -Najjar, Governor of Giza in the Egyptian government, in the presence of a number of officials in both countries.

In this context, Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company is cooperating with the Akur International Group, which will manage the hotel to ensure the highest levels of service and excellence in the hospitality sector.

His Excellency Mohamed Saif Al -Suwaidi said that the “Sofitel Leganda Pyramids Giza” project represents an important step in supporting the Egyptian tourism sector, as it provides an upscale hotel experience that reflects our commitment to promoting sustainable investments in promising markets and through our partnership with the Akur Global Group, we are keen to upgrade the tourism sector and support economic and social development in Egypt.

He added that this investment confirms the role of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund in supporting sustainable development projects and enhancing investment partnerships, which contribute to achieving economic growth in brotherly countries.

For his part, Eng. Adel Al -Najjar said, “We thank the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for its continuous support for development projects in Egypt, which contributes to strengthening the vital economic sectors, especially the tourism sector.” He pointed out that the “Sofitel Legandal Pyramids Giza” project is a qualitative shift that supports the promotion of tourism infrastructure in Egypt, as it enhances our ability to attract tourists from all over the world, taking advantage of its strategic location Close to the most important monuments.
