The United Nations envoy to Syria calls for the formation of a real transitional government

The United Nations envoy to Syria, Gear Pedersen, said on Friday that the time has come to form a “real and reliable transitional government and does not investigate anyone”, after being informed of the constitutional declaration issued by the interim authorities.

A statement said that Pedersen hopes that “this (declaration) is pushing Syria towards restoring the rule of law and strengthening an organized and comprehensive transition.”
