Rashid bin Humaid Al -Ramadani Council reviews the role of the media in the future industry

Ajman, March 14 / WAM / The Council of Rashid bin Humaid Al -Ramadani 2025 organized a discussion episode entitled “Media and the Future Industry … between influence and responsibility”, in the presence of His Excellency Ahoud Bint Khalfan Al -Roumi, Minister of State for Governmental and Future Development, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, head of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Emirates Media Council Board of Directors.
The session was moderated by the journalist Ahmed Al -Yamahi, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists in the media, and the session witnessed rich discussions on the future of the media in the UAE.
The session focused on a number of the main axes that concern the workers in the media sector, starting from the role of the national media in supporting the values ​​and aspirations of Emirati society, through the impact of media initiatives in enhancing the state’s reputation and deepening its international relations, leading to the impact of artificial intelligence applications in the media and ways to confront misleading materials.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, head of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, referred to the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, on empowering young people and qualifying them with the skills of the future and that they are the ambassadors of their country that put an approach to the future of youth and a method for their superiority, praising the role of the National Media Office and the clear boom in the media sector internally and externally with the support and directives of the rational leadership.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi stressed that the role of the media is not only a source of news, but an influential force that constitutes the aspirations of states and a major possible accessory for the aspirations of societies, stressing that the UAE has paid great attention to the media by providing modern technical support and capabilities for the sector workers from media professionals and content makers, and also recommended the necessity of the optimal use of social media platforms for the benefit of the country.
He said that the state provided the full infrastructure to attract investors around the world, pointing to the importance of providing statistics, reliable sources, feasibility studies and sustainable development plans for the federal authorities.
In turn, His Excellency Ahoud Bint Khalfan Al -Roumi praised the Hamid bin Rashid Al -Ramadan Council and its role in raising important issues and topics in a transparent, indicating that one of these issues is the media and its role in making the future and the reputation of the homelands, which is a strategic option for the state in light of global changes.
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamed stressed that the wise leadership of the UAE puts an advanced media empowerment at the top of its priorities, indicating that the country witnessed during the past five decades a major boom in all sectors, which is a leap and was accompanied by qualitative developments in the media sector and its institutions.
His Excellency touched on the Bridge summit, which he recently launched from the American capital, Washington, which will start from Abu Dhabi from 8 to 10 December 2025, indicating His Excellency that “Bardaj” is a comprehensive global initiative that seeks to anticipate the future of the media and lead the transformation in the sector and increase its contribution to the global economy by establishing a dynamic and comprehensive system that enables media professionals, and establishes innovation, The responsible press in the digital age supports, stressing that the year 2026 is the year of reaping the fruits of those national initiatives that are launched during the current year.
His Excellency the head of the National Media Office explained that the media system in various countries of the world is witnessing accelerated changes, which we must keep pace with these developments and benefit from modern innovations, to enhance the competitiveness of the national media and establish its position as a reliable source that reflects the state’s vision and achievements, and keeps pace with the aspirations of society in an innovative style and sober content.
His Excellency the head of the National Media Office pointed out that the national media played a major role in enhancing the positive reputation of the state, which was established by the founding fathers, “may God bless them” and on the same approach, our wise leadership, which continued the march with a forward -looking vision and approach based on innovation and effective communication, which strengthened the UAE’s position a beacon for progress and openness, and gained the world’s confidence and respect.
His Excellency stressed that the directives of the rational leadership have always been a beacon that enhances the values ​​of the Emirati identity in the media sector, noting that this matter was clearly evident in the positive approach that the content makers followed on social media platforms, where their content embodied the civilizational image of the state, stressing His Excellency on the pivotal role of digital media and modern technologies, and its impact on the development of the media scene, whether in the formulation of legislation or promoting awareness Which makes it an effective tool in the face of media misinformation and the consolidation of facts.
His Excellency also reviewed the importance of the media as a competitive economic sector, and the opportunities available to enhance the UAE’s position on the global media map, as well as how to produce influential and responsible media content that reflects the Emirati identity, with a focus on ways to increase the media contribution to the national economy.

According to the latest statistics, more than 5 billion people use social media during 2024, an increase of 266 million people annually, and artificial intelligence will contribute to the growth of the global media and entertainment sector revenues from 80 billion dollars to 130 billion dollars annually, and advertisers spent approximately 720 billion dollars during 2023, and it is expected that the trillion dollars will exceed dollars during 2025.
The Council came out with important recommendations on the need to keep pace with technical developments in the media sector, and to adopt ethical and professional standards to ensure the spread of reliable media content that contributes to the formation of positive public opinion and the achievement of sustainable development, and awareness of the need to resort to reliable official sources.
