Sharjah holds the hopes of Emirates clubs in a new Asian title

The Sharjah team became the representative of the Emirates football in the foreign championships this season, after last week the end of the journey of three clubs in three Asian and Gulf championships.

At a time when Al Ain Club achieved a historic achievement last season, by winning the AFC Champions League title for the second time in its history, after defeating Japan’s Yokohama Marinus in the final 6-2 in the total of the two matches, hopes for three clubs were held in preserving the title for the Emirates ball in the new version of the AFC Champions League, which is Al-Ahly, Al-Ain and Al-Wasl, but the three clubs came out other than the different roles without reaching To the decisive stage, where the eight round matches will be held in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next April.

Al -Ahly youth left the championship early from the supplement by losing to the Qatari Al -Gharafa with a goal without a response, while Al -Wasl and Al -Ain fought the league stage with its new system.

Al Ain achieved the worst results in the history of any team that achieved the title, after he won the last (eighth) in the West Asian region competitions, where he won only two points, out of a total of 24 points, by drawing in two games against the Qatari Al -Sadd in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, and outside his land with the Uzbek Bakhtakor, while he lost six games by defeating him against the Saudi Crescent, Al -Ahly Saudi and Al -Rayyan Al -Qatari in Dar Al -Zain, and outside His land is from Al -Gharafa and Al -Nasr Saudi clubs, and finally the Iraqi police, to leave Al Ain the championship without achieving any victory.

The “leader” owned the worst defense line in the tournament in the West and East, after he entered 22 goals, while alongside the Australian Central Cost club, the two teams that did not achieve any victory in the league phase.

On the other hand, Al -Wasl presented great levels, and he won the fifth place in the group stage by winning three games outside his stadium on the clubs of Bakhtakor, the Uzbek, Qatari Gharafa and the Iraqi police, and tied in two games at its stadium with both the Qatari Al -Sadd and the Qatari Rayan, while he lost three games, at its stadium from the Saudi Al -Hilal and Al -Ahly Saudi, and outside its stadium from the Saudi victory.

The “Emperor” missed the opportunity to qualify for the quarter -finals by losing outside his land from the Qatari Al -Sadd with three goals against a goal in the round of 16, despite the strong start of Al -Wasl with his progress with a goal scored by Fabio Lima, but the owner of the land scored three goals in 11 minutes, to stop the Al -Wasl journey in the continental championship.

As for the AFC Champions League 2, it witnessed the participation of two teams, Sharjah and Al -Ahly youth, who moved to the championship after leaving the “elite”, where each team led its group with Sharjah to get the first position in the third group with 13 points, by defeating the Tajik independence twice, and the Iranian Sibahan and the Jordanian units, while losing one match against Sibahan and tied with the units.

Al -Ahly’s youth walked on the same approach by leading the fourth group with 13 points, where he beat Al -Hussein Irbid twice, and Nasaf Al -Uzbeki and Kuwait Kuwait, while he lost once from Nasaf and tied with Kuwait. In the round of 16, Sharjah defeated Al-Hussein Irbid with difficulty with a penalty shootout, and Al-Ahly youth defeated Al-Wahdat 6-3 in the total of the two matches.

The “king” met with “Al-Fursan” at the top of the quarter-finals, where they tied back and forth with the same result, before Sharjah won the penalty shootout and ascends to confront the Saudi cooperation in the semi-finals.

For his part, Al -Nasr missed the opportunity to win a new Gulf title in its balance, after the first group in the Gulf Champions League championship with 14 points was led by winning four games for the Omani clubs of Dhofar twice, and the Yemeni people of Sanaa and the Iraqi Dohuk, and drew in two games against both Dohuk and the people of Sanaa.

In the semi -finals, the “dean” lost to go at home against the Kuwaiti Qadisiyah with a goal without a response, and despite his victory in the second leg with two goals to one goal, but he lost the penalty shootout to leave the championship from the golden square.


The outcome of the Emirates Clubs in the Foreign Championships:

Sharjah: qualified for the AFC Champions League semi -final.

Al Ain: He left the league stage in the “elite”.

Al -Wasl: He came out of the round of 16 in the “elite”.

Al -Ahly Youth: He came out of the “elite” supplement and then left the quarter -finals of the AFC Champions League 2.

Al -Nasr: He left the semi -finals of the Gulf Champions League.
