Ancelotti agrees to training the Brazilian national team

Several Spanish media reported on Monday that the Italian coach of Real Madrid, the second Spanish Football League Carlo Ancelotti, agreed to train the Brazilian national team.
The veteran Italian coach remains one year in his contract with the Spanish giant, but after leaving the quarter -finals of the Champions League at the hands of Arsenal and losing the final match of the King’s Cup of Spain against Barcelona, it is about to leave Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti did not hide the possibility of his departure, and said that his future is “a topic that is decided in the coming weeks” after the defeat against Barcelona (2-3 after the extension) in the final match on Saturday in Seville.
Spanish media reported that Ancelotti will take responsibility before the matches scheduled for next June in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, leaving Madrid before the start of the World Cup in the United States this summer.
“Carlo Ancelotti has already reached an agreement with the Brazilian Football Association to take over the Brazilian team’s training once the period of his presence at Real Madrid ends,” the Madrid Sports Sports newspaper said on its website.
The newspaper “Marca” indicated that the Italian coach did not sign anything with the Brazilian Federation.
The Brazilian Football Association told AFP that he “has no comment” on this issue.
The Brazilian sports newspaper “Rillivo” reported that Real Madrid will not put “any obstacles” on the path of Ancelotti’s departure to Brazil. According to the two media methods, he will leave his position at the end of the Spanish League season on May 25, and therefore, Real Madrid will not lead during the World Cup club (June 14- July 13).
Brazil, its coach Dorreval Junior, said after its overwhelming defeat against Argentina 1-4 last March, and it is fourth in the qualifiers.
Ancelotti led Real Madrid to the Champions League duo and the Spanish League last season, where Brazilian stars Vinicius Junior and Rodrigo Goyes played a vital role in the team, and he is one of the most successful coaches in the club’s history.
He led Real Madrid in its first period at the top of its technical management to the Champions League tenth title in the club’s history (2014). He won the competition three times with Los Blancos over two periods (2013-2015 and since 2021), and was sacked in 2015, but returned in 2021 after the resignation of his former French star Zinedine Zidane and crowned twice (2022 and 2024).
Real Madrid this season suffered from defensive fragility, and it is four points behind Barcelona, the league leaders.
Ancelotti also trained Milan, Chelsea, English and Paris Saint -Germain, among other teams.
