"Gulf statistics": 131.5 billion dollars in states of workers in countries "cooperation"

Muscat on March 16 / WAM / The total transfers of workers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries abroad reached 131.5 billion US dollars by the end of 2023, according to the latest data issued by the statistical center of the Cooperation Council countries for the Arab Gulf States.
The volume of transfers of workers in the countries of the Council, the highest globally, is followed by the volume of transfers from the United States of America.
The center’s data indicates that the total transfers of workers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries decreased by the end of 2023, by about half a billion US dollars from the year 2022 and by 0.4%, after the significant increase in 2021 and 2022, which came 9.2% and 3.8%, respectively.
The percentage of these transfers from Gulf GDP (at current prices) decreased from 8.1% in 2020 to 6% in 2022, raising slightly in 2023 and remaining at 6.2%.
