The festival, organized by “Ferjan Dubai”, will be held in the social institution aimed at promoting social communication between neighborhood residents in Dubai through virtual platforms, in cooperation with the “Ferjan Fund” and Dubai Municipality, in the Mushrif National Park during the period from 13 to 22 March, providing a mixture of cultural and recreational events that enhance societal cohesion.

Alia Al -Shamlan, Director of Farjan Dubai, stressed that the Furjan Festival, in its Ramadan version, is an ideal opportunity for families and families from the people of Dubai to participate in the celebration of the holy month and the distinctive spiritual notes and social atmosphere of a delightful, as it highlights the national identity and popular heritage, and supports the owners of emerging projects, and highlights various talents, as a platform that reflects the spirit of societal cohesion that distinguishes Dubai.

She said that the third edition of the Furjan Festival for this year, which started during last February and continues this March, achieved great success that reflected the value of the community cohesion, as the attendance of more than 145 thousand visitors, and the participation of 28 home projects and 203 talents and shows, as well as the presence of 30 restaurants and cafes and the establishment of more than 60 workshops with the participation of 50 volunteers, which prompted us to extend it during the month of Ramadan with additional activities linked to the month Virtuous.

She explained: The festival plan was designed with all its details based on the idea of ​​Al -Hawi, which represented the heart of the house, where we collected restaurants, shops and talents in this iron that reflects the spirit of our gatherings, with the aim of restoring these days and creating a similar atmosphere that expresses interconnection and love and embodies our identity and our customs in a new way.

The Ferjan Festival is characterized by its Ramadan version with an integrated program that extends over a period of 10 days, and includes a group of events that meet various interests and age groups.

The festival sheds light on one of the most prominent traditional popular customs that the UAE has distinguished through the effectiveness of “Nabathala between Al -Furjan”, where the festival is witnessing a traditional presentation that shows local traditions and enhances the spirit of the group and the celebration, and the show usually includes a rhythm of drums with vital songs and dance movements for participants in colored costumes, as it is a distinctive part of the festival.

In continuation of the entertainment competitions that the festival witnessed during its third session, many distinguished events will be held during the month of Ramadan, including: the challenge of the jacquaro and Sikoins, which is an interesting table game that combines strategy and luck, as it adds a traditional and entertaining character to the festival, and gives visitors an interesting interactive experience that enhances the bonds of social media.

The Dubai Popular Cooking Competition is also held, in which contestants are competing to provide various dishes that mix traditional and modern foods; Participants offer their dishes in front of a specialized jury that assesses food, appearance and creativity, provided that the winners are honored with prizes in appreciation of their skills and innovation in the kitchen..
