One of the farmers of Al -Ula said that this climate compatibility with the month of Ramadan contributed to increasing the demand for oranges, as the fasting people search for fresh fruits of high nutritional value.
He explained that the harvest season this year is one of the best at all in terms of the quality and quantity of the crop, which reflects the fertility enjoyed by the lands of Al -Ula, the skill of its farmers and their care for their farms.
The impact of the orange harvest season is not only limited to consumers, but it constitutes an important economic pillar for farmers and suppliers, as Al -Ula farms contribute to enhancing local production and providing fresh fruits to markets during this vital period of the year.

Citrus transplantation
According to the 2024 statistic issued by the agricultural sector in the Royal Commission for Al -Ala Governorate, the governorate is famous for the cultivation of citrus fruits with an area of 654.57 hectares, with an annual production of 6,545.65 tons.
While its lands embrace 261,826 citrus trees. Among the most prominent varieties cultivated Abu Surra, titening, and sweet lemon, and the production season continues from December to March, and the louds are offered the finest types of citrus fruits with a unique flavor and high quality.
