Community Police Department initiatives in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi enhance societal cohesion

Abu Dhabi, March 17 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Police participated in the Ramadan session organized by the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Educational Award, one of the Zayed legacy institutions under the title “The Year of Society .. Empowering Individuals and Communities” which was held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees of the Prize, Hamid Al -Huti, Secretary -General of the Khalifa Educational Prize, and a number of academic and educational leaders and officials.
Colonel Saif Ali Al -Jabri, Deputy Director of the Community Police Department, spoke at the session in the pioneering efforts of Abu Dhabi Police in the consolidation of societal cohesion, and reviewed the initiatives of the community police department implemented by the Abu Dhabi Police in various parts of the emirate to enhance societal cohesion.
He stressed that from the year 2003 new concepts entered into the relationship of the police to society, hence the establishment of a community police administration by integrating cooperation mechanisms that enhance security between the police and society.
He stated that 16 of the best international practices have been applied in enhancing the relationship between the police and society, and there are more than 70,000 volunteers in the “We are all police” system in addition to 1,000 educational programs provided by the Community Police Department, referring to the services provided to student segments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and awareness programs that are broadcast in various media and social communication are applied, through an integrated effort that made Abu Dhabi city one of the best cities in the world a sense of security and safety.
He pointed out that the Community Police Department won more than 20 awards of excellence and leadership awards.
