Israeli raids on the vicinity of the city of Daraa in southern Syria

Israeli raids targeted the vicinity of the city of Daraa in southern Syria on Monday evening, according to the Syrian official news agency “SANA”, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said it had affected a military position.
SANA said that “Israeli occupation aircraft launched air strikes targeting the vicinity of the city of Daraa.”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the raids targeted a military headquarters that were affiliated with the former army, and included forces from the new Syrian army.
The observatory explained that “the Israeli war fighters targeted several air strikes, Brigade 132 in the city of Daraa, which led to the escalation of flames, and ambulances and fire engines rushed to the target place,” adding that there are “reports of injuries.”
This comes after Israel announced a launch of an air strike last week on Damascus, targeting the headquarters of the jihad movement, the Syrian Observatory said it had killed at least a person.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to launch such strikes against “everyone who attacks us” in the region.
